Hey there!

Sam Hanson has been a Milwaukee-based illustrator and graphic designer since 2017. Her designs have been used for posters, logos, branding, packaging, signage, t-shirts, posters, murals, wedding save the dates and invites, coloring books, stickers and the like. Favored mediums include ink, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, Procreate, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

In 2020, Sam opened her first e-commerce and pop up shop: Sam Hanson Doodle. She taught herself to screen print in her basement using eco-friendly water-based inks and soft Bella & Canvas shirts. As of 2022, Sam shifted her focus to designing and went back to school for Graphic Design. She sells her sweatshirts, t-shirts, tea towels, totes, pins and prints at markets around Milwaukee and the Midwest.

Originally from Woodstock, Illinois, she attended The Second City of Chicago for sketch writing and improv training program. Sam has been apart of the Milwaukee comedy scene upon moving there in 2016. These writing and creativity skills translates into all of her work.

When not drawing, Sam is a big hiker, thrifter and home cook. She’s a lover of tomatoes, Mark Ruffalo and a real good breeze.
